Who Is Hatfield?
Hi, I’m Justin, owner of Hatfield Custom Rods. While Hatfield isn’t my name, it is a name that I hold close. If you look at the picture on the right you’ll see Harvey Hatfield, commercial fisherman a on the Mississippi River and the namesake of Hatfield Custom Rods. Harvey is also my great grandfather, who’m we affectionately called “Papa Boat”.
It is in remembrance of Papa Boat, that the Harvey Legacy Rod was born. I wanted to build the rod as I remembered him. With the denim and brass colors to match the overalls her wore every day. Each rod will comes with a hand turned cork handle to ensure the most comfortable and personal fishing rod you will ever hold.

Why buy Hatfield?
I could give you all the buzz words and marketing terms that every other company is going to give you. But I’ll save you the headache. At the end of the day, Hatfield Rods is me, my wife and young boys. You are supporting a small American Business and Family. Not a subsidiary of an overseas company. Every Hand built rod is built in my personal shop, not a factory overseas.
